Halo Reach capture the flag pro tips

Hello, this is Aaro also known on Xbox Live as WarrIor One, a pro in Halo Reach competition. Halo Reach CTF tips are just one part of the massive collection of articles. I am writing this series of Halo Reach articles for everyone who plays a lot, but can't seem to get any better. Do you want some pro tips that will make you the ultimate force in online gaming? (especially Reach!) Do you play a lot, but can't seem to pull off crucial plays, important kills, and split second decisions that could cost your team the win? If you answered yes, then take a look at all my articles I am writing. These strategies that I will share with you are very direct and to the point. These tips are more than that, they are a complete hardcore game-guide with the knowledge to dominate in Halo Reach. They will give you the edge you need to lead your team to victory in CTF and all game modes. Your "enemies" will cower in fear with the information I am giving you, because they know they won't be able to stop you. They won't even know what hit them, you will be the envy of all the wanna-be pro gamers because you will be a pro! This information will save you countless hours of trial and error. I know exactly how you feel the aggravating feeling of defeat and death, because I was in the same place as you were. Ask yourself if you are ready to dominate in CTF, obliterate anyone in your way, and achieve victory for once and for all!

The domination starts now! Now CTF has two different phases. The first, offense and the second, defense will be the key to victory. I will split my article and try to cover them as much as I can. Now as you notice the huge picture with the falcon being blown apart and me carrying the flag, that is what I do. I will do the first section of the article on 1 flag CTF and then I will do another article on multiflag.

When your team is on offense be it 5 people for flagstravaganza or 8 people for Big Team Battle, the main objective is simple, steal the enemy flag and return it to base. Now most pro CTF teams have two sub teams, a enemy suppressing force and a flag courier team. The first team kills as many defenders as possible, to make it easy for the flag to be taken by the carrying team. If you cannot talk to the whole team, then just use the tips below for some things you can take advantage of. Remember, even if you are really good, unless your team can back you up, you will not win. It is always better to have a team of okay people, than a random group of good people.

General tips for CTF

1. Know where the flag is and how to get to it easily and quietly. This may seem redundent, but is actually very helpful. I personally have played against some teams who have no idea where the flag is and it is super funny for our team to watch.

2. Always attack and defend as a group. This is important because even if you make to the enemy base, there is nothing you can do as a single person. Basically put, the more numbers you have attacking or defending the better it is.

3. Never play midfield. What I mean by that is when people snipe or drive around in a vehicle in the "middle" of the map. They are playing in that neutral gray area where nothing is acomplished. Either attack or stay and defend your position, don't be neutral.

4. Don't take the power weapons if your not good with them! This is so agrivating especially for Big Team because you have people in banshees who have no idea on how to drive them!

5. Use vehicles to capture the flag! This is one of the most important tips I can give you. People who pick up the flag and do not get into a vehicle usually end up dead because everyone knows their flag is being stolen! Seriously, the flag carrier can ride passenger in all vehicles that offer that seat.

In 1 flag CTF, you have two phases offense and defense. The defensive phase ushers in a whole new realm of thinking and stratigizing in Halo Reach. For defense, you want your team to stick together in the general area of the flag, but spread out enough so there are no sneak attacks. You can also implement the "two teams" idea I shared in offensive strtegies. The first team will try to kill and stop all the attackers before they get the flag. The second team will try to stop the attackers after they have grabbed the flag. If you still find it hard to communicate these plans with new strangers, you can just use the tips in the next section.

1. Always have a damage control captain. What I mean is that when the attackers are pressing hard, have someone to look to. Make sure he(or she) is very competent at their job before entrusting them with your team.

2. Always have someone with an anti-vehicle weapon. It helps tremendously when you can stop the vehicle so you can concentrate fire on it, preventing it from taking the flag back to their base. This can be any power weapon, but mostly you will want to stick to the spartan laser and the sniper rifle.

3. Make sure you stop the enemy before they get the flag. This is so crucial, especially if the map is Hemorrhage because once they get the flag in a vehicle it's gone. Try to keep the flag in a strong point because it's easier to defend with less people!

4. Always have a sniper. This is super important because a sniper can stop vehicles when they are waiting to pick up the flag. You can also snipe the carrier if they decide to run it on foot.
